Water
Much of the Aptos shoreline is served by Soquel Creek Water District. Its service area includes Rio del Mar, Seascape, La Selva Beach, Aptos, Soquel, Opal Cliffs, and portions of Capitola. Exact service should still be confirmed by address. Rural edges and larger parcels may raise separate water questions.
Power and gas
PG&E provides electric and gas service. Coastal homes may need extra review around corrosion, older electrical panels, backup power, and service upgrades.
Waste and recycling
GreenWaste handles garbage, recycling, and organics service for unincorporated Santa Cruz County areas, including much of Rio del Mar, Seacliff, Seascape, and La Selva Beach.
Fire district
Aptos / La Selva Fire Protection District serves much of this area. Buyers should confirm the fire district by address and review insurance early, especially near bluffs, open space, or rural roads.
Schools
Most of this area feeds into Pajaro Valley Unified School District. School assignment should be confirmed by exact address before relying on neighborhood names.
Cable and internet providers
Xfinity is common in many Aptos shoreline neighborhoods. AT&T, Cruzio, and wireless options may vary by parcel. Check the exact address before assuming speed.
