Water, sewer, and waste in Watsonville

Inside Watsonville city limits, the City of Watsonville handles water, sewer, and solid waste utility service. New service and utility billing should be handled through the city.

Rural water and septic

Corralitos and rural parcels around Watsonville often require parcel-level review of wells, septic, water quality, drainage, and access. Do not assume city utilities outside city limits.

Power and gas

PG&E provides electric and gas service where available. Propane may come up on rural parcels. Agricultural or larger-lot properties can have extra service questions.

Waste and recycling outside Watsonville

GreenWaste handles garbage, recycling, and organics service for unincorporated Santa Cruz County. Rural pickup, container placement, and driveway access should be confirmed by address.

Fire district

Fire service varies between Watsonville, Corralitos, and rural edges. Buyers should confirm the district, insurance, access, water source, and defensible-space expectations before going into contract.

Schools

Most Watsonville and Corralitos addresses are tied to Pajaro Valley Unified School District, but school assignment still needs to be checked by exact address.

Cable and internet providers

Watsonville cable service is generally Spectrum, not Xfinity. Corralitos and rural south county parcels vary more, and cable may not be the right assumption. Check internet and TV options by exact address, including AT&T, Cruzio, fixed wireless, satellite, and any cable provider shown for the parcel.
